Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 24/10/2026
Your next step is yours
Time & Pace is a space to think, pray and choose your next step. These terms explain how the app works, what you can expect from us, and what stays your responsibility.
The short version: you use Time & Pace by your own choice, and the decisions you make and the steps you take are yours. The app asks questions and offers reflections. It never speaks for God and it does not tell you what to do.
Time & Pace is a coaching and reflection tool. It is not therapy, counselling, medical, legal or financial advice, or a crisis service. If the app senses you may be in crisis, it pauses and points you to real-world help. Nobody is alerted when this happens, and no one is watching your entries. If you are in danger, please contact emergency services or a crisis line straight away.
Please read these terms with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we look after your data.
1. Who we are
Time & Pace ("we", "us") is run by Naomi Aidoo, a sole trader based in the UK, trading as Time & Pace. The app is at app.timeandpace.co. Contact: naomi@timeandpace.com.
2. Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or buying a plan, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. These terms are the agreement between you and us; nobody else can enforce them.
3. Who can use Time & Pace
Time & Pace is for adults aged 18 and over. By signing up, you confirm you are 18 or older. Your account is for you alone; please don't share it.
4. What Time & Pace is, and isn't
Time & Pace gives you journaling and coaching tools rooted in Naomi's coaching method and Scripture, including PACE coaching sessions, daily check-ins, Review Day and affirmations.
Time & Pace is not:
- therapy, counselling or a mental health service
- medical, legal, financial or professional advice
- a crisis, emergency or safeguarding service
- pastoral care from a church, or a substitute for your own church, minister or community
If you are dealing with a mental or physical health condition, grief, abuse, addiction or a major financial or legal decision, please speak to a qualified professional. You can use Time & Pace alongside that support, not instead of it.
5. Your choices are your own
You use Time & Pace of your own free will. The app helps you think things through, but you decide what to do with it.
Decisions stay yours. Any step, plan, goal or decision you make after using the app is your own choice and your own responsibility. That includes choices about your work, money, relationships, health, family and faith.
Use your own judgement. Questions, reflections, Scripture and suggestions in the app are offered for you to weigh, test and pray about. Please don't act on anything that doesn't feel right for you, or that a qualified professional has advised against.
No guaranteed results. We hope the app helps you move forward, but we can't promise any particular outcome, whether personal, spiritual, financial or otherwise.
We aren't responsible for your choices. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for the outcome of decisions you make or actions you take, or don't take, after using the app. Section 15 explains the limits of our responsibility, including what we can never exclude.
6. The safety pause, and what it is not
If something you write suggests you may be in crisis or at risk, including thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, the app pauses coaching and shows you where to find real-world support. This is there for your safety.
Please understand how it works:
- It is automated. The safety pause is triggered by automated screening, not by a person.
- Nobody is alerted, and nobody will reach out. We are not notified when a pause happens. We do not contact you, your family, your church, a doctor or the emergency services because of it. A pause is a signpost for you, not an alert to anyone else.
- Nothing is monitored. No one reads your entries in real time, watches for signs of risk or reviews safety pauses. Like other app activity, the app keeps a basic record that a pause happened and when, but not what you wrote. We do not check these records or act on them.
- It can miss things. Automated screening can fail to spot a crisis, or pause when you're not in one. Please don't rely on it to keep you safe.
Time & Pace cannot respond to an emergency. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, or you feel unable to keep yourself safe, please get help now:
- UK: call 999, or Samaritans on 116 123 (free, 24 hours)
- US: call 911, or call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline)
- Australia: call 000, or Lifeline on 13 11 14
- Elsewhere: contact your local emergency number or a local crisis line
7. How the AI works
Coaching replies, reflections and summaries are generated by AI services, as described in our Privacy Policy. AI can make mistakes. It can misunderstand you, get facts wrong, or misquote or misapply Scripture, even with the checks we have in place. It never speaks for God, and nothing it says is a prophetic word, a spiritual instruction or professional advice. Please check anything important, including Scripture, for yourself.
8. Plans and payment
Prices include any VAT or sales tax that applies. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Your bank may charge for currency conversion.
Annual membership renews automatically every year at the price shown in your reminder, using the payment method on file, until you cancel. We'll email you at least 14 days before each renewal with the date and price. You can turn off renewal at any time before the renewal date by emailing us at naomi@timeandpace.com, and your membership will run to the end of the year you've paid for.
The Next Step Session is a one-off payment and does not renew. There is no monthly plan.
Founding members who joined in October 2026 paid a one-off fee for 12 months of access. This does not renew automatically. Before it ends, you'll be offered the option to upgrade, and it's your choice whether to take it.
We may change prices for future purchases or renewals. We'll tell you about any change to your renewal price in your reminder email, before you're charged.
9. Upgrading from a Next Step Session
Your Next Step Session ends when you mark your step as done, or on your step's due date, whichever comes first. From then, you have 10 days to upgrade to annual membership with the £27 / $29 / A$45 you paid taken off the annual price. The credit is applied automatically through the upgrade link in the app or your email. After 10 days the credit expires and can't be exchanged for cash.
10. Cancelling and refunds
UK law gives you 14 days to change your mind about an online purchase. Here's how that works for each plan:
- Next Step Session: no refunds. At checkout you ask us to give you access straight away and agree that you lose your right to cancel once access begins. The session is not refundable at any point, unless something went wrong on our side (see below).
- Annual membership: within 14 days, if you haven't started. You can cancel for a full refund within 14 days of paying, as long as you haven't started using the app. At checkout you ask us to give you access straight away and agree that your right to cancel ends once you start using it. After 14 days, or once you've started using the app, payments are not refundable, including for unused months.
- Renewals. If you contact us within 14 days of a renewal payment and haven't used the app since it renewed, we'll refund that renewal in full. Otherwise renewals are not refundable, so please turn off renewal before the date in your reminder if you don't want to continue.
- If something goes wrong. If the app doesn't work as described and we can't fix it within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund under UK consumer law. Nothing in these terms takes away those rights.
To cancel or ask for a refund, email naomi@timeandpace.com with the email address you used to pay. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days of us agreeing it.
11. Founders' group and emails
- Community group. Some plans include access to a members' group on Skool for a set period (for the current group, until 29 November 2026). Skool is a separate platform with its own terms and privacy policy. Please be kind, keep what others share confidential, and don't share anyone's story outside the group without their permission. We may remove anyone who doesn't.
- Emails. We'll send you emails about your account, payments, check-ins on your step dates and important changes. Marketing emails are only sent if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
12. Using the app well
Please keep your password safe and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. When using Time & Pace, please don't:
- use it for anything unlawful, or to harm, harass or deceive anyone
- try to break, hack, overload or get around the app's security or safety features
- copy, resell or share access to the app, or use it to build a competing product
- use automated tools to scrape or extract content from it
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to put things right.
13. Your content
What you write, record and upload is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can run the app for you, as explained in our Privacy Policy. We don't use it for anything else, and we never sell it.
14. Our content
The app, the PACE and TIME methods, Review Day questions, wording, design and branding belong to Naomi Aidoo. Time & Pace® is a registered trade mark. You may use the app and keep what it creates for you (such as your step cards and affirmation wallpapers) for your own personal use. Please don't copy or share our materials commercially without permission.
15. Our responsibility to you
We will provide the app with reasonable care and skill, and as described. If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result of that.
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for:
- decisions you make or actions you take after using the app (see section 5)
- loss that wasn't foreseeable, or that was caused by something outside our reasonable control
- business losses, such as lost profit or opportunity: the app is for personal use only
- the content or availability of third-party services such as Skool, Stripe or the AI providers
If we are responsible for a loss, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, except where the law does not allow this limit.
What we never exclude. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer. For more about those rights, see Citizens Advice.
16. Keeping the app running
We'll do our best to keep Time & Pace available, but it may sometimes be unavailable for updates, maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may improve or change features as the app develops. If a change significantly reduces what you've paid for, we'll tell you and you can ask for a refund for the unused part of your plan.
Please keep your own copy of anything precious to you. You can ask us for a download of your data at any time.
17. Ending your account
You can stop using Time & Pace at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing us. Deleting your account ends access to your plan, and any refund is handled under section 10. If we ever close Time & Pace, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice, a chance to download your data, and a refund for any unused part of an annual plan.
18. Changes to these terms
If we make important changes, we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can stop using the app and we'll refund any unused part of an annual plan.
19. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring a claim there. If you live outside the UK, you also keep any protections your local consumer law gives you. If something isn't right, please email us first and we'll do our best to put it right.
